The family, friends and entertainment world mourn the passing of Anthony Minghella. Many people in Botswana will join in the feeling of loss that comes with his passing. He brought world class film making to Botswana with his recent directing of The No. 1 Ladies Detectives Agency. The movie is scheduled to debut Easter Monday on BBC 1.
Crew that worked with him on the film said he helped them be the best they could be at their work. The crew would do whatever possible to create the vision he was trying to achieve. The movie will be remembered as his final gift to the film world. In the following photo he is helping his crew get eady for what was his last day of shooting.
Anthony is suddenly gone... merely within hours before the release of his movie " #1 Ladies Detective Agency".
I don't know how we will follow the BBC series here in Canada, but I believe HBO will also pick it up. That's probably no good to me either, so I have to hope for a quick response in putting out the box-set.
